Guido Consonni is Full Professor of Statistics at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, Italy (since 2011), where he is currently the chair of the Department of Statistical Sciences. Previously he was Full Professor at the University of Pavia (1990-2011), and Associate Professor at L. Bocconi University, Milan. He is an expert of Bayesian statistical methodology. His current research topics are: Graphical models; Bayesian networks; Bayesian experimental design; Causal inference; Replication studies. He was the principal investigator in past PRIN projects in the area of graphical models, Bayesian networks and causal inference. Currently he is a collaborative member of a research project on Reproducible research sponsored by the Swiss National Science foundation. He is the author of about 50 publications in established peer-reviewed journals in Statistics and has published among others in: Annals of Statistics, J Royal. Statistical. Soc. B, Biometrika, J. American. Statistical. Assoc., Statistical Science, Bayesian Analysis, Electronic Journal of Statistics, Scandinavian J. Statistics, Journal of Multivariate Analysis, Statistica Sinica. He is an Associate Editor of Statistics Surveys, and previously of TEST and Bayesian Analysis. He regularly acts as a referee for major international statistics journals and serves as reviewer of research projects for leading European research institutions. He served as chair of the Section “Objective Bayes” of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (2018-19). He is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute, and a member of the Royal Statistical Society, the Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, the American. Statistical Association and the Italian Statistical Society.
